“Getting it wrong on Kosovo: A bad case of coercive consociationalism?

Arben Qirezi

From 2004 to 2008 Arben worked as Political Adviser/Spokesperson and Chief Political Adviser for the then Prime Ministers Ramush Haradinaj and Agim Ceku, respectively. Between 2005 and 2006 he was Secretary General of the Kosovo Final Status Negotiating Team, and in 2007 he headed the Kosova Security Council Working Group, drafting the principles upon which this key security policy institution is organized and functions. He also served as a member of the project evaluation and selection committees for the Canadian Mission in Kosova, Save the Children (US) and the Government of Kosova. Arben represented Kosova in the Contact Group Political Director meeting in Athens, where assisted the Prime Minister in meetings with the UN Security Council, State Department etc. Currently he teaches at Staffordshire University Franchise Awards and AAB-Riinvest. Arben is completing a PhD in Political Science at the National University of Ireland, Galway.
